Rainbow Polka Dot Nails!

Hello! I thought I'd do a post on how I do my nails as I get asked each day. People think it takes hours to do but I can normally get it done in 15 minutes, and it's so simple to do! I've been doing them like this for a year and a half, occasionally changing them to leopard print or some other pattern but this is my all time favourite!
First of all here are all the bits I use
Dickie's Rainbow Polka Dot Nails
From left to right - Models Own Nail Art Pen White, Models Own 3 in 1 Base Coat/Top Coat & Gloss, Barry M Nail Paint in 272 Shocking Pink, Models Own Nail Polish in Fuzzy Peach, Barry M Nail Paint in 134, Models Own Nail Polish in Lime Green, and Models Own Nail Polish in Feeling Blue.
I start off with clean nails. My middle nail does look a bit gross as it's stained from the yellow nail varnish!

I then apply a layer of the Models Own 3 in 1 Base Coat/Top Coat & Gloss. I've tried so many bases and top coats and have found this one to be the best.

I then apply the first layer of each coloured nail polish. I do the colours in spectrum order and on my right hand start with pink on my thumb, on my left hand I start with blue on my thumb. Please excuse the green bit of nail polish I managed to accidentally smudge it on my hand!

I then apply a second layer of the coloured nail polish to make the colour more intense.

Now for the fun part! I use the Models Own Nail Art Pen to blob dots in a pattern all over each nail! I normally start off with one on the top of the nail, in the middle, then do two either side a bit lower down, then another one in the centre lower down, and spread the pattern out so it's all uniform (I'm a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to my nails!)

Finally I apply the Models Own 3 in 1 Base Coat/Top Coat & Gloss to seal the design in! As I've mentioned I've found this to be the best base and top coat so far, I normally go a week and half now between doing my nails. And here is the finished result! You can then clean up the edges with a cotton bud soaked in nail polish remover.

So that's how I do my nails! If you have any questions please feel free to ask and I will do another guide soon with how I do my leopard print nails!
